  14. INTRODUCTION
  15. Eight separate tools comprise HTML PowerTools for Windows. These
  16. are powerful HTML development tools for Windows, for use
  17. alongside your HTML or text editor. They include customizable
  18. offline HTML validation and link checking, HTML-aware search and
  19. replace, site-wide META tag management, automatic HTML file "last
  20. modified date" stamping, IMG tag automatic width, height, and ALT
  21. insertion, HTML to text batch conversion, and much more.

  23. While each tool is separate in purpose, many work together.
  24. They are intended to be used as a 'suite' of utilities to
  25. assist you - the HTML developer. Their primary purpose is
  26. to automate difficult or time-consuming tasks that you are
  27. now doing manually.

  33. INSTALLATION
  34. After unzipping the ZIP file you downloaded, run SETUP.EXE
  35. and follow the on-screen prompts.

  38. UN-INSTALLATION
  39. To remove this application from your system, use Windows 95's
  40. Uninstall facility (Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs). If
  41. you manually delete the program directory before trying this,
  42. Windows will not be able to uninstall the other components.

  45. THE LAUNCH PAD
  46. In addition to the actual HTML utilities, Setup installs the
  47. HTML PowerTools Launch Pad. This handy toolbar provides quick
  48. access to each of the tools in the suite from one location.
  49. If you right-click any of the tool icons, you will notice the
  50. Stay on Top option - this will cause the Launch Pad to remain
  51. above all your other windows to make access to the tools even
  52. more convenient.
